Open role · Early-stage leadership
Chief Marketing Officer
CMO · Affective
Lead how Affective explains, tests, and brings to market a person-state layer for AI agents. This role connects research, product, design partners, and the public. The work starts with a proposed transcript-evaluation offer and an honest account of what the POC and voice programs have, and have not, established.
Send to founder@affective-llc.site. No application portal or recruiter intermediary.
What you would own
- Position Affective for AI teams, researchers, and investors without presenting planned capabilities as shipped.
- Shape the first design-partner motion for transcript-based agent evaluations: audience, message, outreach, pilot story, and learning loop.
- Build an evidence-led website, content program, launch discipline, and measurement of qualified conversations.
- Translate technical results and negative findings into clear public explanations with the research team.
- Develop the longer-term commercial narrative for Observe, the state API, voice, and Affective models only as their gates are met.
- Help establish the marketing function, including collaborators and process, as the company grows.
What we are looking for
- Ownership of positioning and go-to-market work for a technical B2B product, preferably AI infrastructure, developer tools, or evaluation software.
- Ability to speak credibly with technical buyers and turn their questions into product and research feedback.
- Excellent writing and editorial judgment, especially about uncertainty, safety, privacy, and claims that need more evidence.
- Hands-on experience creating demand and learning from early design-partner conversations, not only managing an established brand.
- Comfort working directly with a founder across strategy, copy, campaigns, and the unglamorous details of an early-stage company.
Useful, not required
Experience with research communications, developer communities, voice agents, privacy-sensitive products, or founding a marketing function would be valuable. No single background is a substitute for judgment and evidence of the work.
How to apply
Email founder@affective-llc.site with a short introduction, examples of positioning or go-to-market work you owned, and how you would approach the first 90 days of this problem. A resume or LinkedIn profile is welcome, but the work examples matter more. Please do not send confidential customer materials or personal conversation transcripts.
Affective considers candidates on the strength of their work and welcomes people with different backgrounds and paths into marketing. Location, working arrangement, and compensation will be discussed directly with candidates.
